I am the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data collected through the Blog.
Data I Collect Directly※
aim to collect minimal personal data directly from visitors to the Blog. Standard server logs may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed. This data is primarily used for technical purposes such as site maintenance, security, and analyzing general traffic patterns in an aggregated and anonymized form where possible.
I do not require users to register or provide personal data to simply read the content on the Blog.
Third-Party Data Processing: Disqus Comments※
I use the Disqus commenting system ("Disqus") to allow visitors to leave comments on my blog posts. Disqus is a third-party service provided by Disqus, Inc.
Important: The Disqus commenting system and its associated scripts are not loaded automatically when you visit a page on my Blog. They are only loaded if you choose to interact with the comment section by clicking the "Load Comments" button.
By clicking the "Load Comments" button, you are providing your explicit consent for the Disqus commenting system to load and for Disqus, Inc. to collect and process your personal data in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
When you interact with the Disqus commenting system (e.g., viewing comments, posting a comment, liking a comment), Disqus may collect personal data from you. This data may include:
Information you provide when creating a Disqus account or logging in (e.g., name, email address, profile picture).
Your IP address.
Information about your browser and device.
Your activity within the Disqus interface (e.g., comments posted, pages visited where Disqus is embedded).
Cookies and similar technologies used by Disqus to provide their service, remember your login, and potentially for analytics and advertising purposes.
The purpose of this data collection and processing by Disqus is to provide the commenting functionality, manage user accounts, combat spam, and potentially for their own business purposes, including advertising, as outlined in their policies.
Disqus, Inc. acts as a data processor on my behalf when providing the commenting service on my Blog. However, Disqus may also process data for their own purposes, acting as a data controller in those instances.
I encourage you to review the Disqus Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to understand exactly what data they collect and how they use and protect it:
Disqus Privacy Policy: https://disqus.com/privacy-policy/
Disqus Terms of Service: https://disqus.com/terms/
I do not have direct control over the specific data processing activities performed by Disqus once you interact with their system.
Legal Basis for Processing※
My legal basis for processing your personal data in the context of Disqus comments is your explicit consent, which you provide by clicking the "Load Comments" button.
My legal basis for processing the minimal data collected directly through server logs is my legitimate interest in operating, maintaining, and securing the Blog.
Data Transfers Outside the European Economic Area (EEA)※
Disqus is a U.S. company. By loading the Disqus comments, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States and potentially other countries outside the EEA.
When transferring data outside the EEA, I rely on appropriate safeguards as provided by Disqus. You should refer to the Disqus Privacy Policy for details on the safeguards they implement for international data transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have certain rights regarding your personal data under the GDPR. These rights include:

- The right to withdraw consent: If my legal basis for processing is your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing
based on consent before its withdrawal. Since your consent for Disqus is given by clicking the button, you can withdraw consent for future interactions by not loading the comments. For data already processed by Disqus, you may need to contact Disqus directly. The right to lodge a complaint: To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your Member State.
